With Multiplex, we re-use the protocols of major sports television shows (the Olympics broadcast, the Tour de France, the Formula One) and propose to introduce them in a dedicated art space: the Centre Pompidou. The situations that we want to show in this performance will be very different from what we usually see on TV. We show sports that have never been on TV shows (fitness, Starcraft 2...) and some repurposed sports (3 sided football...).
These situations have been broadcast live for four hours at the Pompidou Centre. In the exhibition space, a TV studio host broadcasting screens and three commentators: the famous George Eddy (Canal +), the expert Xavier de la Porte (France Culture) and the artistic performer Jean-Sebastien Tacher. Those three speakers comment on the flow of images transmitted by eight teams located in Paris near the Pompidou Centre and in different places across France.
